This earth, this miracle of a planet with its wild ability to provide everything humans and animals need, this earth is changing rapidly as a result of human impact. So many of us, lovers of the natural world, live with the conundrum of how to be good stewards while knowing our lifestyle inevitably contributes to the problem. It is not so easy or obvious how one tiny human might impact change. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle? Eat local vegan food? Ride a bike? Write to your Representatives? Protest and demonstrate?
While these are all valuable acts, there is perhaps another action we can offer: Our love and devotion. Will you join me for this day of art making where we will honor our grief, fears and helplessness… and then let this inspire us to create an expression our love for the Spirit of Nature? Just as the natural world is the inherently creative, we will tap into the spirit of creativity in solidarity. We will join with the forces of nature and express. With lots of room for feeling and sharing, we will gather as a group of humans who want to create art as a prayer for the beauty and wonder of the natural world.
