Coming Home
A retreat for experienced psychedelic practitioners and helpers
With Jim Matto-Shepard, Ph D, Felicia Matto-Shepard, MFT and Dan Ahlers, MD
An advanced psychedelic exploration with ketamine where development, integration and play come together.
This four day, non-residential retreat will incorporate two ketamine experiences, as well as movement, meditation, sound and creative process using paint and collage — integration, self care, relaxation and fun.
Beyond our ingrained patterns there is a deep heart purpose motivating us as helpers and healers. This sense of Soul, Self or Destiny came before our personal and developmental trauma, beyond our cultural and intergenerational conditioning. In this immersive retreat, we will invoke the help of our Soul’s code and journey toward a sustained embodied change. Access to the well of restorative guidance. You will experience practices that anchor in mindfulness and then open us to the unknown. We will aim to touch moments of integrating mind and body, self and other, matter and spirit as we explore and create within a community of like-minded clinicians.
This process is what we call “Coming Home.”
Of course, coming home into our Soul purpose or Heart direction is a practice more than an end goal. As advanced practitioners we are already using psychedelics, embodiment practices, meditation, art, psychotherapy and such to solidify our stance and clarify our direction. In this retreat we will provide a space to broaden and deepen this work within a group of like-minded professionals.
We believe that self care and sangha are essential to an advanced psychedelic practitioner. Therefore, this retreat is a time for personal exploration and experiential learning more than a didactic course for cognitive learning. While the practices you experience can be applied to your work with others, there are no CEU’s offered for this retreat.
